Bhadrachala Ramadasu (Kancharla Gopanna) who lived during 1620-1680 CE, was arrested by Abdullah Qutb Shah in 1662 CE and released by Tana Shah in 1674 CE. As per the last verse of his Dasarathi Satakam, his name was Gopanna the son of Linganna Mantri of Atreya Gotram.
